Before a game can be submitted, the uploader must confirm they own the rights or have permission to publish it, choose a license, and state whether remixing is allowed. This attestation is recorded with the submission. Because every game is a readable single file, provenance is transparent.

Uploaders pick a license (for example All rights reserved, CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA, or MIT) and a remix permission. Players and other creators should respect those terms. We surface the license on the game's page so you always know what you can do with a game's source.

If you believe a game on Upload Arcade infringes your copyright, send a notice identifying: the copyrighted work, the infringing game (title and URL), your contact information, a statement of good-faith belief, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act. We review notices promptly and remove or disable infringing content where appropriate.

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may file a counter-notice with the same level of detail. We operate a repeat-infringer policy: accounts that repeatedly upload infringing content are terminated.
